Several companies provide educational opportunities through charitable partnerships.

In times of need, the rental housing industry does more than provide quality living for residents. Companies and individuals constantly assist neighbors and their local communities across the U.S. Recently, several companies gave back to local communities.

American Landmark Apartments partnered with Urban Teachers to provide up to 128 educators with affordable housing in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro. “We are delighted to play an integral role in this exceptional teacher recruitment program, and in the future of the area by making these aspiring educators feel welcomed, respected and connected to the community,” said American Landmark Apartments CEO Joe Lubeck in a release. The Urban Teachers residency program begins in June.

Liberty Military Housing (LMH) and United Through Reading partnered to provide equitable access to books and the experience of a shared storytime. “Placing books in the hands of our military families can cultivate literacy and create a foundation for lifelong learning," said Philip Rizzo, CEO of Liberty Military Housing, in a release. LMH is starting Liberty’s Little Libraries, which are front yard book exchanges at communities. “We are so excited to provide over 800 books to Liberty's Little Libraries to help military families stay connected and grow their love of reading every day," said United Through Reading CEO Dr. Sally Ann Zoll.

Envolve LLC continues giving back to those in need through food. To support their community, Envolve purchased lunches for every resident at Roosevelt Commons Apartments in Phoenix. “As the pandemic continues to take its toll on small businesses, the Envolve Resident Lunch Program has been a great way for us to support local and family-owned establishments—while simultaneously treating our residents to lunch,” said Sharon Carpenter, SVP of Operations, in a release. In St. Louis, Envolve purchased lunches for all residents of Fontainebleau Apartments. “Through the Envolve Resident Lunch Program, we’re able to support family-run businesses and treat our residents to an amazing lunch,” said Sara Daut, Regional Vice President of Lipton - A division of Envolve.
