Favorite APT'25 Memory: Although the world all around us is changing (and at lightning speed), we aren't alone in this AI and tech-heavy evolution. Our industry is full of bright, approachable minds. Every year I meet new people who help connect the dots for me and end up being valuable resources long after the conference is over. My Apartmentalize experience isn't over when the conference ends - that is just the beginning because the education and networking lasts all year long - and beyond.
Best Tip for New Orleans: Start planning now, because 2026 will be here before you know it. Get your team excited, and let’s roll into New Orleans ready to let the good times and multifamily roll!

Favorite APT'25 Memory: My favorite moment this year was presenting Friday morning’s session on empowering your teams. The energy in the room was electric, and it was incredibly rewarding to connect with so many professionals who are passionate about building stronger, more supported teams in our industry.
Best Tip for New Orleans: I’ve had the pleasure of visiting New Orleans professionally three times—first in 2012 for the IREM Fall Conference, again in 2015 or 2016 for the NAAEI Speaker Conference, and most recently in 2018 for client work. Every visit has been unforgettable. The history, the architecture, the mystery, the food—truly one of my favorite cities in America. I can’t wait to return for Apartmentalize 2026 and soak in everything the Big Easy has to offer once again.

Favorite APT'25 Memory: One of my favorite memories from Apartmentalize this year was Coffee and Connections. What started as a small idea from the NextGen committee in Philly has grown into something truly special. Seeing it come to life in a new way, and watching people show up, lean in, and genuinely connect, was a powerful reminder that meaningful networking is just as valuable as any classroom session.
Best Tip for New Orleans: I love visiting New Orleans, not just for the energy and charm, but for the genuine hospitality that’s woven into every corner of the city. There is so much we can learn from that spirit and bring into our own industry. I’ve had the privilege of shopping apartment communities in NOLA and have taken away some fresh, creative ideas that have made their way into my leasing training. Inspiration is everywhere when you know where to look.

Favorite APT'25 Memory: It was one of the greatest honors to be the NAA DEI Champion for 2025. I was part of the finalist last year and thought it was very much going to be a repeat this year. The overwhelming support that this industry gives to each other so immense and I am so proud and grateful to be part of it. Additionally, it was great to reconnect with my mentors, mentees, and the other colleagues throughout the country that I often only get to see once or twice a year.
Best Tip for New Orleans: It will come as no surprise, but it is all about the food, drinks, and music to me when it comes to New Orleans. I have only been once about a decade ago with my friends and we had an amazing time exploring all the best local food spots, visiting Café Du Monde to enjoy a cup of coffee and beignet, and seeing a surprise tribute concert to Prince from Stevie Wonder where we were all packed into a jazz club. I hope that I can assist my team members and friends enjoy the food, drinks, and music of New Orleans while I am there along with the vast networking and education opportunities.

Favorite APT'25 Memory: Just got back from NAA Apartmentalize in Las Vegas, and let’s just say, I didn’t hit the slots, but I definitely hit the jackpot in inspiration, innovation, and incredible connections. From the keynote speakers to breakout sessions packed with golden nuggets, this conference was a full house of knowledge. Whether it was hearing from industry professionals or discovering new ways to elevate our resident experience, every minute was stacked with value. Then came the trade show floor, a total high roller experience. Every vendor brought their A game, complete with dazzling booths, live demos, and insights that could rival a Vegas magician’s best tricks. Think: smart tech, curb appeal upgrades, automation tools, and enough swag to need an extra carry on. One of the best parts? Finally meeting some of my amazing DLP cohort members in person. Getting to connect face to face added a whole new level of appreciation for the brainpower and passion in this group. And last but certainly not least… I won the NAA Emerging Leader of the Year Award! To be recognized among so many talented professionals, and in the city of lights no less, was an unforgettable honor. It’s a moment I’ll carry with me long after the confetti settles.
Best Tip for New Orleans: As we wrap up the excitement from Las Vegas, all eyes are on New Orleans 2026, and trust me, you won’t want to miss this parade! The NAA always has tricks up their sleeves, plenty of surprises, and endless opportunities to grow, connect, and be inspired. From beads to big ideas, you can expect bold sessions, brilliant speakers, and a trade show that feels more like a Bourbon Street block party of innovation. Whether you're looking to level up your leadership, learn from industry legends, or just soak up the electric energy of the multifamily world, this WILL BE the place to be. And yes...I will be the first in line for beignets and bold ideas.

Favorite APT'25 Moment: It honestly was a full-circle moment for me. From arriving in San Diego just a few years ago, wandering around with no clue what was going on… to being a SMAC, serving on a national committee, being celebrated for being part of the NAA Diversity Leadership Program, and ultimately stepping out of my comfort zone to volunteer for my first speaking opportunity with the NAAEI. There wasn’t just one thing that stood out—it was a testament to all the work, the travel, the dedication, and the commitment coming together. This was the first Apartmentalize where I truly felt like I had come into my own.
