RKW Residential has two new Presidents. The company promoted Joya Pavesi, longtime EVP of Marketing & Strategy, to the newly created role of President – Brand & Strategic Services. Additionally, RKW welcomed tenured industry veteran Kevin Owens as President – Property Management. Owens most recently was the Divisional President at RPM. In her new role, Pavesi will expand her impact to oversee growth, revenue optimization and further bolster the firm’s service offerings. She will continue to lead brand and strategy, with a deeper focus on innovation and technology. At RPM, Owens was responsible for all of his division’s property management departments, including marketing, operations, business development, property transitions, facilities and construction management. Marcie Williams, one of the founding leaders of RKW, will transition from her CEO position to a strategic advisor role.

Lessen announced the expansion of its executive leadership team with Sean Miller as Chief Revenue Officer. Miller brings an extensive executive background in property management technology to his role at Lessen. He will lead the company’s marketing and sales organization to find, court and close residential and commercial accounts for Lessen’s growing suite of products and services. Miller was previously the Chief Revenue Officer of Sensor Industries.

Camden Property Trust has promoted Stanley Jones to Senior Vice President of Real Estate Investments. In his new position, Jones will oversee all CPT’s real estate investment activities, including development, acquisitions and dispositions. He replaces Bill Sengelmann who retired on Oct. 1. Jones was previously Vice President. Since joining Camden in 2007, Jones has been an integral part of the REI team. He is a member of the REFIC Advisory Council at the Texas McCombs Real Estate Center at McCombs School of Business, University of Texas at Austin.

Liberty Military Housing has added Jon McKay as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel. Bringing 20 years of service in the U.S. Navy, McKay served with the Department of the Navy’s Office of the General Counsel in various litigation and leadership positions. Most recently, he served as the Counsel to the Commander, Naval Air Forces. He began his legal career as an active-duty U.S. Navy Judge Advocate (JAG) and continues his military service in the Navy Reserve JAG Corps.

Baltimore-based WPM Real Estate Management announced Michael Mangum has been promoted to Vice President of the company’s Maintenance and Construction Services division. As Vice President, he will continue to play a vital role leading the division and adapting its service offerings to meet the needs of WPM clients across multifamily, association and commercial real estate. Since joining WPM in 2009, Mangum has taken on growing leadership responsibility within the company. In 2022, he was promoted to Director of Operations for the company’s Maintenance and Construction Services division, and in 2023 took over leadership of that division. Mangum is actively involved with the Maryland Multi-Housing Association (MMHA) and currently serves on the MMHA Service Training Apprenticeship Board.

Guardian has announced the appointment of Ryan Beck as Vice President of Asset Management and Abbey Kent as Vice President of Senior Living. Beck’s strategic vision and results-driven leadership will play a pivotal role in managing the company’s asset management portfolio, which consists of over 50 properties and more than 5,000 units. Most recently, Beck served as Operations Management Director at Atria Senior Living.
Kent will oversee existing independent living facilities, with a focus on expanding Guardian’s presence in the senior housing sector by exploring new management contracts, acquisitions and development projects in the coming years. Kent has previously served as Corporate Director of Operations and Marketing at Seasons Management and Regional Vice President of Operations at Regency Pacific Management.

Bell Partners announced Kate Byford has joined the company as Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), and Lisa Tully-Lavian has joined as Senior Vice President, Customer Experience. Both roles are new positions created as part of the company’s updated strategic plan to support its continued growth. Both will be based in Alexandria, Va.
Byford’s responsibilities include oversight of Human Resources, Information Technology, Procurement, and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives. She will also serve on the Executive Committee. For the past seven years, she was at Capital One where she last served as Managing Vice President: Head of Multifamily Agency Finance. She was also at Freddie Mac for 10 years, where she last served as Senior Director: Multifamily Capital Markets, Head of Pricing. As SVP of Customer Service, Tully-Lavian’s responsibilities include overseeing the development and implementation of systems and processes to support a differentiated customer experience. She was most recently Chief Marketing Officer at Sentral, and was Executive Vice President, Marketing at Highgate.
