About the Hosts
Betsy Kirkpatrick Cunningham
Betsy Kirkpatrick, Managing Director of Strategic Programs for BG Multifamily, has over 14 years in the apartment industry, rising through the ranks from property manager to regional trainer. She’s also served as a Director of Sales in Charlotte and a Regional Sales Manager for multiple markets, nationwide with BG and Strategic Accounts Executive. Betsy’s passion for the rental housing industry includes advocacy, recruitment and leadership as the 2024 Chair of NAA’s NextGen Committee.
Ronald Harrington CAM, CALP
Ronald Harrington, Training Manager for 29th Street Communities, with 12 years of experience in the hospitality, sales, food services and rental housing industries, specializes in training, education and development. He also hosts the podcast Rooms with Ronald for the Multifamily Media Network focusing on leasing and marketing strategies. Ronald is a 2024 NAA Excellence Award – Emerging Leader of the Year Finalist and will serve as the 2025 Chair of NAA’s Next Gen Committee. He holds a B.S. in Hospitality and Food Management and an M.A in Residential Property Management both from Ball State University.
Rayshaun Phillips
Rayshaun Phillips, Membership & Engagement Coordinator for the Detroit Metropolitan Apartment Association (DMAA), brings 11 years of hospitality, mortgage and property management experience to his role. Using his storytelling and relationship building skills, he has been an integral part of DMAA’s growth over the past year surpassing 100k units. The “Manager of Happy” or “RaySHINE” volunteers with the Wayne State University Math Corps Youth and participated in his state association’s Leadership Lyceum. He holds a B.A. in Communications Studies, minoring in Public Relations and English from Wayne State University.
