William “Billy” Cannon is the firm’s managing principal and heads the Office of Managing Principal. The Office of Managing Principal is responsible for the management of the firm’s Practice of Law Division, focusing on practice group management and performance, timekeeper performance and morale, cross referrals, quality assurance/quality control, marketing, and organic growth. In addition to Billy’s Managing Principal responsibilities, his law practice focuses on the representation of property owners and property management companies in litigation, mediations, administrative agency hearings and leasing, with a special emphasis on fair housing compliance and defense of fair housing and discrimination complaints.

Gwen Roy-Harrison

Gwen Roy-Harrison represents multi-family housing providers, real estate developers, and business owners throughout Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia in litigation and compliance matters. She regularly appears in court on behalf of property management companies, condominium and cooperative associations, and individual owners in residential and commercial landlord-tenant disputes. Gwen has also developed a niche practice in HUD compliance – advising housing providers on the nuances of the Fair Housing Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act. She defends clients faced with HUD and state-level investigations and housing discrimination complaints. She regularly conducts Fair Housing trainings for housing providers and their staff, helping clients implement practices that reduce legal risk. Her practice also includes transactional support such as drafting and reviewing leases, non-disclosure agreements, and settlement or release agreements. Gwen frequently delivers virtual and in-person presentations across the Washington Metro Region on HUD compliance, Fair Housing Act obligations, and strategies for avoiding discrimination claims. She is a native of Washington D.C. and admitted to practice in Virginia, the District of Columbia, Maryland, and California.
