ARLINGTON, Va. | January 23, 2024 – San Diego real estate executive Rick Snyder, CPM, R.A. Snyder Properties, has begun his term as 2024 National Apartment Association (NAA) Chair of the Board. He was formally installed at NAA’s Assembly of Delegates, held in San Diego last November.
“There is no doubt that this is a pivotal moment for the rental housing industry, and I could not be more honored to assume this role and work alongside such a dedicated team of volunteer and staff leaders,” said Snyder. “In the year ahead, our vision to ‘inform, educate and advocate’ will help build a more holistic image of the industry and promote sustainable, responsible housing policies that ease affordability challenges and protect the nation’s rental housing infrastructure for the future.”
An industry veteran, Snyder has more than 30 years of rental housing experience in property management, and his company leads in all aspects of the business including branding, market penetration and tech innovation.
Snyder has been involved with NAA for nearly 20 years, having served as a Regional Vice President, Membership Committee Chair and as a member of several committees including Governance and Global Outreach. He was also the president of the San Diego County Apartment Association in 2009. Snyder has served in leadership roles for the San Diego Association of Realtors, the California Association of Realtors, the California Apartment Association and the National Association of Realtors.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from San Diego State University with a major in real estate. Snyder also maintains a California Real Estate Broker’s license and serves as an active expert witness for real estate litigation.
