One of the country’s largest property management companies announces West Coast expansion.
Greenbelt, Md.-based Bozzuto is heading to the West Coast after 33 years on the East Coast. The company announced plans on Feb. 9 that it will be focusing a new expansion effort in gateway markets in California and Washington this year. Bozzuto is in 11 markets on the East Coast as well as Chicago and Milwaukee.
To help facilitate this growth, Bozzuto announced the hiring of Heather Wallace as the Managing Director of Client Services. She will report directly to President Stephanie L. Williams but will remain in northern California. Wallace was previously a senior executive with Sares Regis Group. Wallace has more than 20 years in the industry and has served in operations, acquisitions and development roles for real estate companies.
“The addition of Heather Wallace ensures that Bozzuto will continue to grow through thoughtful and strategic relationships,” Williams said in a release on the expansion and new addition to the team. “We hold ourselves to the highest standard of delivering the exact same extraordinary experience our customers have come to expect, across our portfolio.”
Bozzuto manages 85,000 apartments and 2.5 million square feet of retail space in markets on the East Coast including Baltimore, New York, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. as well as Chicago.
“It has never been a goal of ours to be the biggest company,” said President and CEO Toby Bozzuto in the release. “We simply want to be the best. Because of our longstanding, trusted client relationships, we have been fortunate to experience tremendous organic growth. We are now well-positioned for this exciting next step in our company’s history.”
