Shakayra Stern is a 2x author, editor-in-chief and founder of the worldwide sisterhood movement, The Mixed Girl Meetup. Shakayra was bullied for most of her childhood leading her to have no confidence at all. Through the help of continuous affirmations and mindfulness practices, as an adult, she was able to turn her pain into power by starting a community of her own, which focuses on creating unique safe spaces to vent without the fear of being judged, building confidence, making new genuine friends, healing low self-esteem, helping with identity issues, and assisting with personal encouragement by speaking life into others.
About the Moderator
Katie Wrenn
Katie Wrenn is the Director of Training and Development for WRH Realty Services and currently serves as the Immediate President for the Florida Apartment Association (FAA). In addition to her involvement with FAA she serves on several committees for the National Apartment Association (NAA) and the NAAEI board of directors. Katie has more than 17 years of experience in the multifamily industry with 10+ years focusing on learning and development. While she is most happy when she is teaching industry courses, she is also a lifelong learner and recently obtained her MBA from Jacksonville University and holds her CAPS designation.
