Arcola Mayor Fred Burton joined residents of newly constructed, mixed-income apartment community Gristmill at Tuscany Park in January for a Meet & Greet Fireside Chat to celebrate the community’s grand opening – the first such new community to open in the area since 2017’s Hurricane Harvey.
Gristmill at Tuscany Park, located at 21821 South Post Oak Boulevard, in close proximity to Houston Southwest Airport, was developed by The NRP Group, a vertically-integrated developer, builder and manager of rental housing. It is the first community in Fort Bend County to open since the hurricane.
“The fact that the community is fully occupied six short months after the start of leasing speaks volumes to the need for clean, safe, and well-designed affordable housing in Arcola,” Burton said. The eight-building, garden-style community consists of one-, two- and three-bedroom residences, 88 of which are designated affordable.
