Valet Living Heroes Program Awards Amenities to Service Members

Valet Giving Heroes is a reward program designed to provide residents of Valet Living Home communities who serve or have served in the United States armed forces with a monthly stipend for free amenity services for one year.

Veteran residents are nominated by their spouses, neighbors and friends to participate in Valet Giving Heroes. After receiving the initial list of nominees, veteran residents are contacted directly by a Valet Living associate to thank them and verify details of their service including branch, years of service, occupation or duty, overseas assignments and any special commendations or awards received.

Nominations have been received by communities in Arizona, Texas, North Carolina, and Florida.

The Valet Giving Heroes program was launched during National Military Appreciation Month in May via invitations to communities Valet Living Home serves, to nominate veterans to receive one year of Valet Living Home.

The criteria to qualify included:

  • Active military personnel in the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force or Coast Guard
  • National Guard, and Reservists serving on Active Duty
  • Retirees
  • Veterans separated within the past two years

Valet Giving Heroes aims to make veterans’ lives easier with Valet Living Home by providing a minimum of one free home clean per month and two free pet visits per week for one year.

Andrew Durbin, a 100 percent disabled Navy veteran, had shared during conversations with Valet Living about how this program could provide outstanding benefits to him and his family. Having the ability to have someone come clean his home or take care of his pets while the family was away or busy was a tremendous incentive for him to join the program.

Nearly 5 percent of Valet Living associates identify as veterans.
