As of September 19, 2023, NAAPAC has raised over $871,000 and is making steady progress toward our 2023 goal of $1.2 million. Suppliers are continuing to play a significant role in our fundraising success, as they have contributed $462,000 and surpassed the National Suppliers Council’s (NSC) 2023 goal of $415,000. Yes In My Backyard (YIMBY) Goes for Advocacy
Throughout the August congressional recess, NAA members and affiliates were meeting their Members of Congress back home to ask that they cosponsor the Yes In My Backyard Act (YIMBY - HR 3507/S 1688), and the Choice in Affordable Housing Act (HR 4606/S 32). These meetings have helped to attract a total of 31 bill sponsors and cosponsors, but more are needed.
While the August recess is history, advocates’ opportunity to engage their Members of Congress back home is not. Several more congressional recesses are on the calendar. To be an At-Home advocate for NAA, register here.
