WinnCompanies and its property management firm WinnResidential are giving back to the local community. Earlier this year it was announced that $70,000 in scholarships was awarded to 59 residents of WinnResidential communities as well as 11 company dependents.
“The WinningEdge Scholarship program is one way we reaffirm our commitment to improving the communities and the lives of the people we serve,” said WinnCompanies CEO Gilbert Winn, in a release. “Since we launched this program in 2012, we have awarded more than $645,000 in scholarships to more than 600 people. We are pleased to make this down payment for the bright future of the families of residents and employees."
In October, it was announced WinnResidential awarded more than $24 million to local Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (M/WBE) for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2023. The dollar amount is a 27% jump year-over-year. It supported 52 communities through MassHousing in Massachusetts.
