A Halloween event at a Texas senior living community showcases how senior communities can successfully interact with the cities and towns in which they reside.
Whitley Place Assisted Living in Keller, Texas, hosted an early evening trick-or-treat event for local children. The event, publicized on social media and at local churches, was a rousing success—witnessed by the overflowing parking lot and quickly diminished candy supply.
The event served a dual purpose: It allowed residents to participate in the fun of Halloween without having to leave their own living space, and it gave people from the surrounding area an opportunity to see what a senior living community is like.
Whitley Place recently got a facelift that included new paint and carpet and upgraded amenities.
