From September 26 to 27, 2024, the National Apartment Association (NAA) will hold its second Rental Housing Policy Summit at the U.S. Capitol. The event is tailored specifically for federal policymakers - Congressional members and staffers, White House and federal agency staff and influencers of housing policy in DC.

At this year’s event, NAA will host a welcome reception on Day 1, followed by a half-day program on Day 2 to explore the most pressing housing policy challenges affecting the nation, including the role of artificial intelligence in housing, understanding federal policy impacts on diverse rental housing businesses and how zoning is bridging the partisan divide.

Closing NAA’s Summit, Nolan Gray will challenge attendees to rethink - even consider totally eliminating - zoning. Nolan is the Research Director for California “Yes In My Backyard” (YIMBY), one of the state's largest pro-housing organizations. He is an urban land-use regulation expert and author of “Arbitrary Lines: How Zoning Broke the American City and How To Fix It.”

Our carefully curated lineup of speakers from across the country will amplify solutions developed at the state and local levels for an audience at the federal level that is well-placed to implement similar policies on a grander scale. This event is by invitation only.
