On August 1-5, 2022, the National Apartment Association (NAA) will welcome its affiliate network to Louisville, KY for the 2022 Affiliate Conference. The conference will kick off with the annual Government Affairs Roundtable (GART) which will feature unique insight from policymakers, advocacy leaders, top legal minds and other experts who will delve into the issue of housing affordability.
With rents rising through the pandemic era, lawmakers have been swift in their policy response. This has led to detrimental and unsustainable policy solutions like rent control, mandatory inclusionary zoning, resident screening restrictions, just cause eviction policies and source of income laws. The rental housing industry must unite to encourage policymakers to adopt sustainable solutions that address the nation’s severe housing supply shortage and increase renters’ access to quality, affordable housing – and that’s the focus of this year’s GART.
GART is a must-attend event for industry advocates to discuss the legislative and regulatory challenges, trends and emerging issues impacting rental housing owners and operators.
