Re-keying a Door Lock
To ensure no one has a key other than the new resident.
- Disassemble and/or remove the cylinder
- Take out the old pins and throw them away
- Using key gauge, determine proper pins to insert
- Put in new pins and reassemble the lock
- Make new keys and ensure that they work properly
