Former National Apartment Association Chair of the Board of Directors Mike Gorman CPM, CCIM, CAPS, is once again being celebrated. Gorman has eclipsed the 40-year anniversary mark with Edward Rose & Sons. He currently leads the Indianapolis division of the company and was NAA Chair in 2011.

Edward Rose & Sons honored Gorman Jan. 12 at a steak house in Indianapolis. This included bringing in his close family as a surprise to celebrate the anniversary.

“I have been extraordinarily blessed to have been associated with Edward Rose & Sons for the past 40 years,” says Gorman. “It’s a unicorn in the industry when you look at the longevity of this privately held company, one that’s been in existence for over a century.”

Gorman’s dedication and hard work these past decades has tied him extremely close to the rental housing industry, and this has not gone unnoticed.

“I think Mike’s passion for his job and the opportunities it afforded kept him attached to the company,” says Warren Rose, CEO of Edward Rose & Sons. “At Edward Rose & Sons, he was able to grow the Indianapolis division and develop new products and services establishing himself and the company as industry leaders. His close relationships with his fellow co-workers and mentor helped create a strong bond with our company.”

Gorman was hired out of college (Butler University in Indianapolis) for a management training program. He’s worn many hats during his time at Edward Rose & Sons.

“During my career I’ve been a Property Manager, Regional Property Manager, Director of Property Management, Land Acquisitions and Development, and President for the past 20 years,” says Gorman.

Since his time with Edward Rose & Sons, NAA has been an important part of Gorman’s career. “From obtaining my CAPS designation decades ago, to the many NAA conventions, meetings and committees I’ve had the opportunity to participate, I’ve found my NAA involvement to be personally rewarding.”
