Technology is helping property managers do their jobs more effectively and efficiently. But that doesn’t mean face-to-face interaction is no longer essential.
According to a recent Institute of Real Estate Management webinar, management teams using property-management-related software and apps — along with general business technology, such as online banking and virtual meeting tools — can boost productivity by 45 percent and efficiency by 44 percent.
Furthermore, residents now expect these online tools and technologies, which make interactions with management more efficient and convenient.
But tech isn’t everything; property-management teams should never hide behind these tools. Good personal interactions will always be paramount to attracting and retaining residents; technology just fosters and simplifies these positive relationships.
