Beckett by Mill Creek is open—the first community from Mill Creek Residential’s attainable housing apartment brand. According to a release, Beckett Cottingham in Houston is the first of three Houston-area Beckett communities planned for the next year before a nationwide rollout.
“[W]ith the unveiling of Beckett by Mill Creek, we are further expanding our reach into the rental-housing market by providing a product for which there is immense demand,” said Darren Schackman, Chief Investment Officer with Mill Creek Residential, in the release.
Apartments at Beckett communities will include wood-plank style flooring, 9-foot ceilings, stainless steel appliances and granite countertops among other features. Community amenities include an outdoor pool and grilling area as well as a dog park and dog run.
“There is a profound need for attainable rental housing in this country, and the Beckett by Mill Creek portfolio will help meet this demand with communities that offer both an affordable and a high-quality living experience to middle-income earners,” said William C. MacDonald, Chairman, CEO and President of Mill Creek Residential, in the release.
