NAA and Coalition Urge the White House to Nominate Adrianne Todman as Secretary of HUD
NAA and housing provider coalition urge President Biden to nominate Deputy Secretary Adrianne Todman for Secretary of the U.S. Department Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Dear President Biden:
The undersigned national real estate associations represent a broad coalition of housing providers that are committed to working together with policymakers and the Administration to address America’s housing affordability crisis. We write to offer our strong recommendation to nominate Deputy Secretary Adrianne Todman for Secretary of the U.S. Department Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
We believe that Deputy Secretary Todman is exceptionally well qualified to lead HUD and tackle the critical work that lies ahead for the agency. Acting Secretary Todman has had decades of experience working in housing and community development. Previously, Todman helped establish HUD's office for redeveloping distressed public and publicly assisted housing. Since, she has also served as Executive Director of Washington DC's local public housing agency and as Chief Executive Officer for the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officers, the nation's largest membership organization of housing and redevelopment officials.
In her position as Deputy Secretary, she has been instrumental in moving forward a number of long-standing initiatives, including efforts to increase the Federal Housing Administration multifamily loan limits, improving operation of the Housing Choice Voucher Program, and addressing housing related issues during the COVID-19 crisis. She is a collaborative partner to housing stakeholders across the country, as well as the HUD staff. As we work collectively to address housing affordability, Adrianne Todman would be an invaluable asset as your HUD Secretary.
Once again, we respectfully urge you to nominate Adrianne Todman Secretary of HUD given her proven expertise and track record and her commitment to equality and opportunity for all Americans. Thank you for your consideration.
