We call them “those residents” — the people who truly appreciate when our staff goes the extra mile for them, who wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. And after 11 years in this industry, I’ve known many of them.
I have a master’s degree in psychology, but I got into the residential property management field because I have family in the business. Over time, I’ve done just about every RPM job you can imagine. I’ve worked as a human directional (human billboard), pool attendant, office assistant, leasing professional, assistant property manager, and now property manager.
Starting in one of the industry’s entry-level positions helped me gain an appreciation for every job in this business. And I think it has set a positive example for my team members: If you work hard, you can achieve your goals.
I became an RPM Careers ambassador because I want to show others that an RPM career can be fun. This industry provides endless opportunities and keeps you on your toes! No day is ever the same — there is always a new challenge waiting around the corner.
