Storytelling can be an effective bridge to a DEI culture by shifting the narrative to the heart of diversity, which is the people. Join our panel of rental housing experts as they offer space to discover the impact of storytelling on the foundation of company culture, share how to use storytelling to create a culture of acceptance, provide insights into the importance of meeting people in the organization where they are, and offer tips for reframing organizational culture by setting DEI goals.

About the Hosts
Khara House
Khara House, Director of Communications & Public Affairs for The Bella Group, LLC, has worked for over 10 years in property and community management roles. She also serves as Council Member for the City of Flagstaff, AZ. Khara earned her NAAEI CAM credential and serves as Chair of NAA’s DE&I Committee. As a published poet and writer, she holds a M.A. in English from Northern Arizona University and a B.A. in English with Writing Emphasis from Messiah University.
Ishea Shepherd
Ishea Shepherd, AVP at Delancey Group Inc., is a licensed real estate salesperson in Pennsylvania and a Certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor. She also possesses a NAAEI CAM credential and recently graduated from the NAA Diversity Leadership Program. Ishea is dedicated to developing spaces for authenticity and inclusivity in the rental housing industry. She is a member of NAAEI Faculty, facilitates CAM and CAMT courses, while serving on the NAA Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee and Vice Chairing the Residential Property Management Careers Subcommittee. Ishea holds a B.A. in Communication and Media Studies from Temple University.
Lorri Oliver-Goldmann, MBA
Lorri Oliver-Goldmann, MBA, Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion at Avenue5 Residential, has over 25 years of property management experience. She serves as the 2023 NAA DE&I Committee Vice Chair and actively engages with NMHC’s DE&I initiative. Lorri has earned her California Real Estate Broker’s License and holds a DE&I in The Workplace Certification from the University of South Florida. She holds a B.A. in Organizational Leadership from Chapman University, a M.B.A. in Marketing & Leadership from Brandman University and is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership from UMass Global.
