Larry Thomas, Past President of the Texas Apartment Association (TAA) (1982-1983) and Founder of Dallas-based Equity Management Corporation, passed away in late May in the devastating floods that swept through Texas.

Thomas, 74, attended Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, where he met his future wife, Carol, at a party. After school, he worked at the Henry S. Miller commercial real estate firm. His job eventually transferred Thomas to Dallas, where he and Carol would raise their three children and establish Equity Management Corporation.

In addition to his positions with TAA, Thomas was an officer for the Institute of Real Estate Management.
