Pratum Companies Created Through Acquisitions

Pratum Companies has formed following the acquisitions of several real estate firms. The Gaithersburg, Md.-based company launched July 16 after Full Circle Real Estate Partners acquired Edgewood Management Corporation in August 2023 to form FCRE Compliance and Leasing. Presidential Service Industries was also acquired in October 2020.

“Pratum Companies is the realization of a personal, long-held vision of mine,” said Shah Alam, Pratum Companies CEO, in a release. “We’re redefining what’s truly possible in multifamily as we combine 50 years of proven expertise with a new vision and enhanced talent bench to deliver comprehensive real estate management and consulting services."

Alam's partner on the October 2020 purchase, Steve Lainez, has been named President, Commercial Cleaning, and Adriana Ortega Diaz is President, Compliance and Leasing Consulting. Pratum is also hiring David McGuill as Executive Director of Operations; Giraud Payen as Manager, Acquisitions and Investment Management; and Jessica Brittingham as Director of Learning and Development.

The new firm operates more than 15,000 apartment homes at 150-plus multifamily communities.
