Two rental housing industry firms are helping residents in need.

The rental housing industry is always there to help neighbors in need. Two organizations are giving back to their residents and helping to create positive housing experiences and opportunities.

In El Paso, Texas, Envolve LLC purchased lunches from locally owned Taquizas los Pistoleros for residents of Franklin Place Townhomes. The company also donated 100 fabric face masks for the event. “When developing the Resident Lunch Program, we wanted it to not only be an act of kindness for our residents during the pandemic, but also a way to support local restaurants that may have been suffering sales-wise,” said Jeff Ezekiel, President of Envolve Communities, in a release.

Meanwhile, YardHomes partnered with Volunteers of America National Services to support and create permanent and affordable housing for veterans and their families who have experienced homelessness. A grant from the Wells Fargo Foundation helped create 125 units in four markets. “VOANS is excited to partner with YardHomes to expand its existing efforts in collaboration with the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans to create high quality backyard ADUs and small cottage home villages using full volumetric modular and structurally insulated panel-based dwellings,” said Sharon Wilson Geno, EVP and Chief Operating Officer, Volunteers of America National Services, in a release.
