Weidner Apartment Homes recently donated $1.05 million to support the University of Wisconsin-Stout Real Estate Property Management Program (REPM). Of that, $500,000 will be used for 20 $5,000 scholarships during the next five years for students who declare REPM as their major.

"Our long-term investment into the real estate property management undergrad program at UW-Stout reflects my confidence in the curriculum that is being taught to students; the fact that the educators in the program have prior industry experience and can help to personalize the education with real-world examples; and that we’ve seen strong results in terms of the students that have been recruited to our team,” said Dean Weidner, Weidner Apartment Homes Founder and Chairman, in a release.

Weidner has now donated more than $2.5 million to the program. Weidner donated $1 million in 2012 to begin the Weidner Center for Residential Property Management. Three years later, an additional $500,000 was gifted for further support of the program.

There are currently 60 students enrolled in the program, and 27 students are going for their RPM minor at UW-Stout. According to a university report, 100% of recent program graduates have been hired within six months of graduation.
