Multifamily new construction will hit a 10-year high this year. Yardi Matrix predicts that 320,000 new apartment units will hit the market this year, a 50 percent increase from new construction in 2015.
Nationally, most units51 percentwill be one-bedrooms, 37.5 percent will be two-bedrooms, 6.7 percent will be three-bedrooms and 4.7 percent will be studios.
