ARLINGTON, VA | June 29, 2022 – The National Apartment Association (NAA) has announced the induction of Cindy Clare, Chief Operating Officer, Bell Partners, into its Hall of Fame, the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a rental housing professional. Clare accepted the award during Apartmentalize, NAA’s annual conference and exposition, held June 22-24 in San Diego.
Clare has been an active leader across the rental housing industry for more than 30 years. Before joining Bell Partners in 2017, Clare served for twelve years as President of Property Management at KETTLER, where her leadership helped the company grow and expand. Further, Clare has served in numerous leadership positions at all levels of NAA, including time as President of the Apartment and Office Building Association of Metropolitan Washington (AOBA) and present service on the Board of Directors of the Apartment Association of North Carolina (AANC). In 2017, Clare was selected to be NAA’s Chairman, where her efforts led to the creation of the first diversity and inclusion task force as well as the corporate social responsibility task force, both of which have become standing entities and continue to make positive change for the apartment industry.
“Cindy’s steadfast work and leadership across the rental housing industry have made and continue to make an incredibly meaningful impact,” said Bob Pinnegar, NAA President and CEO. “During her chairmanship in 2017, Cindy’s transformative leadership helped move NAA and the entire industry in a new direction. NAA congratulates Cindy on this well-deserved recognition on behalf of the great work she has done and will do for our industry.”
“It is an honor to be recognized by the National Apartment Association and I am humbled to join an incredible group of industry leaders in the Hall of Fame,” said Clare. “In my over three decades in real estate, I’ve learned that it is all about collaboration, connecting with people, serving our communities, providing a place residents are proud to call home and advocating for innovation. That sense of community is what motivates me at Bell Partners, knowing I am making a difference, and it is a privilege to stand alongside the many difference-makers in our industry that are here today. Thank you to the NAA and I look forward to continuing this work in the many years to come.”
