NAAPAC is ramping up its attendance at fundraising events to support our industry champions on Capitol Hill. So far in 2024, NAAPAC has disbursed approximately $670,000, with NAA federal lobbyists having attended over ninety events and with dozens more scheduled in the coming weeks. With primary elections continuing to occur, we anticipate our disbursement numbers to increase even further.
During the Advocate conference, NAAPAC was honored to have Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.), the second-highest ranking Senate Republican, join NAA Chair Rick Snyder, NAA President & CEO Bob Pinnegar, NAA SVP Greg Brown, and platinum level NAAPAC donors for a private reception. At the event, he provided a legislative update and a preview of key Senate races to watch in the upcoming election cycle. Sen. Thune's presence was especially timely as he is one of two candidates vying to become the next Senate Republican Leader following Sen. Mitch McConnell's (R-Ky.) decision to step down from his Senate leadership position this November. We are grateful for Sen. Thune’s leadership and continued support for our industry.
